FDLE SOCE (State Officer Certification Exam) Registration Information
Effective June 12, 2014, applicants will no longer be able to register for the State Officer Certification Exam (SOCE)
via the FDLE website as paper-and-pencil testing has been discontinued. Beginning July 2014, all State Officer
Certification Exams will be administered on a computer based testing platform and applicants will register directly
through Pearson VUE, the computer based testing vendor, or at private test centers that have been approved by FDLE
for computer based testing.
All applicants will be slated for computer based testing on July 14, 2014, and will be authorized to test by Pearson
VUE on that date given the training or selection center has entered your passing result in the Automated Training
Management System (ATMS). Therefore, beginning July 14, 2014, applicants may register for the computer-based
State Officer Certification Examination online or by phone. To register online at a public test site, visit
To register by phone, please contact the Pearson VUE call center at 877-242-1697 and select option 6 to schedule an
exam. If an applicant desires to take the test at a private test site, the applicant must contact the private test site directly
to register. Until July 1, 2014, the FDLE website can still be used to access and print grade reports and notification
letters for applicants that have previously taken a paper-and-pencil State Officer Certification Exam. If you have any
